It’s been just over a week since Malia Obama was forced to leave the White House so that the Trumps could move in, and the 18 year-old just did something that shows how bitter she is that she had to give up her taxpayer-funded mansion.
Malia was reportedly one of 100 liberals who gathered at the Sundance Film Festival to protest against Donald Trump. The group was seen holding signs that said things like “Exist. Resist. Rise.” And “Impeach corporate control” as they protested against Trump’s transport system.
The first sign referred to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, who was about to be displaced by an oil pipeline until Barack Obama put a stop to it. Malia was later seen at a private event with Standing Rock Sioux Chairman Dave Archambault, which actress Shailene Woodley also attended.
“It was amazing to see Malia,” said Woodley. “Also, to witness a human being and a woman coming into her own outside of her family and outside of the attachments that this country has on her, but someone who’s willing to participate in democracy because she chooses to, because she recognizes, regardless of her last name, that if she doesn’t participate in democracy, there will be no world for her future children.”
Clearly, Malia likes to appear at events with Hollywood stars just as much as her parents do…
