Megyn Kelly was notoriously unpopular with her fellow Fox News hosts before she left the network for NBC. Now, it appears that the anchors at her new network can’t stand Kelly as well.
Daily Mail reported that Tamron Hall announced today she will be leaving NBC after 10 years when her contract expires at the end of February. This came days after NBC abruptly cancelled her time slot of the Today Show to make room for Kelly.
Given the fact that Hall was given no send off and that her last day at the network was Tuesday, it looks like there may have been some bad blood. Fans only learned of Hall’s departure when she released a statement today.
“The last ten years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m grateful. I’m also very excited about the next chapter. To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you,” said Hall, 47.
A source with the network told reporters, “NBC News very much wanted Tamron to stay, she was offered a multi-million dollar/multi-year contract and she chose to go.”
Perhaps the prospect of working under Kelly was a nightmare that Hall wanted to get out of before it began…
Hall was one of the most popular anchors at NBC, so her coworkers can’t be pleased that Kelly forced her out. Good luck with your new “family,” Megyn!
