Whoopi Goldberg has been mouthing off about Donald Trump on her talk show The View ever since he won the presidential election. However, she took things way too far on Tuesday when she effectively compared him to a terrorist when she insinuated that his policies resemble those of the Taliban.
“Let me ask you now. We have a leader who has repeatedly demeaned women, wants to defund organizations that benefit women, calling on the media to shut up, specifically wants to give preferential treatment based on religion — are these values really much different than the Taliban’s?” Whoopi said, according to The Blaze.
When asked about Trump’s values, Whoopi replied, “Well, the values that we are listening to” as she cited the temporary travel ban. She has ignorantly dubbed this temporary ban on travel from seven countries with known ties to terrorism as a “Muslim ban.”
Whoopi went on to slam White House adviser Steve Bannon’s advice for the media to “keep its mouth shut” as well as Trump’s promise to prioritize Christian refugees over Muslims.
“Here’s the thing — we have a constitution that says these are the things we don’t do, this is what makes us different from everybody else,” Goldberg said. “Nobody tells our media to shut up and just take it. That’s not America. That is the Taliban.”
Unfortunately for Whoopi, her latest rant didn’t go over so well…
